Axle bearing support in the 50/40 MTS H22 ST5 specification — the cassette that carries the rear axle bearing in the chassis, accommodating both 50 mm and 40 mm bearing fitments.
Bearing supports are structural: a cracked or distorted one lets the axle run out of true, which you feel as vibration and see in accelerated bearing wear. Check them whenever the axle is out, and always torque the mounting bolts evenly so the bearing is not preloaded crooked.
