You’ve always been curious about karting, or you’re after something genuinely different to do. No experience needed, no gear required, no commitment beyond the session. Show up, get suited up, get on track.

More than 60% of our Come & Try participants go on to race competitively. Several have become state champions and Australian title holders. This is the proper way to find out — real kart, real track, real feedback.

What’s included

Everything you need.
Nothing extra to buy.

Current spec race kart & engine

A 2024 specification race kart with a 2-stroke race engine — the same equipment used in competitive karting, not hire karts.

Full safety gear provided

Helmet, race suit, gloves, rib protector and neck roll all provided. Just bring closed-toe shoes.

Three on-track sessions

Three 10-minute sessions on Eastern Creek Kart Track — one of Australia’s premier karting facilities.

One-on-one tuition

Before you hit the track, our team runs a personalised safety briefing and basic driving tuition so you’re confident from lap one.

Track practice fees covered

Your full day Eastern Creek track practice fee is included in the session price. Nothing to pay at the gate.

Honest advice on next steps

Afterwards we’ll give you a straight assessment — what level to start at, what equipment makes sense, what it actually costs to race. No pressure.

What happens on the day.

Check availability & book

Call or send an enquiry to check what sessions are open. We run Wednesday to Friday at 10:30am or 1:30pm. We’ll confirm your spot and send through everything you need to know.

Arrive at Velocity Kart Shop

Head to Velocity Kart Shop at Eastern Creek Kart Track — 50 Peter Brock Drive, Eastern Creek. Arrive in time for your booked session. No need to bring anything — we have all your gear waiting.

Safety briefing & suit up

One of our team runs your personal safety briefing and basic tuition. You’ll get fitted with helmet, suit and gloves, and get comfortable in the kart before heading out.

Three sessions on track

Three 10-minute sessions. Each one gets better as you build confidence and speed. Our team watches from the pit lane and gives feedback between sessions.

Debrief & next steps

We’ll give you honest feedback on how you did and what the pathway to racing looks like if you want to continue. No obligation, no pressure.

Common questions

Before you book.

What if it rains?+
Sessions are weather dependent. If there’s rain or a wet track on your booking day, we’ll contact you to reschedule at no cost, with as much notice as we can give.
Do I need any experience?+
None at all — that’s the whole point. Our team provides a full safety briefing and one-on-one tuition before you get on track. We’ve had participants from age 7 with zero prior experience go on to become competitive racers.
Can parents or family watch?+
Absolutely. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the session. There’s plenty of space to watch from the pit lane and track surrounds.
Are there any size or weight restrictions?+
Size, height and weight restrictions may apply at our discretion to ensure you can safely operate the kart. If you have any concerns, get in touch before booking and we’ll let you know.
What do I need to bring?+
Just closed-toe sports shoes (runners are fine, race boots are better). All safety gear — helmet, race suit, gloves, rib protector and neck roll — is provided at no extra cost.
What if we want to race after the session?+
We’ll walk you through exactly what that looks like — which class makes sense, what equipment you need, and what it realistically costs to get started. We stock everything in-store and can put a package together on the day if you’re ready.
Is there any damage liability?+
Any damage to the kart while under your control must be paid for before leaving the track. Our team walks you through safe track behaviour beforehand, and our instruction is designed specifically to avoid this.
