M8 uniball joint for the steering column on Kart Republic karts. The uniball is the pivot that lets the steering linkage articulate smoothly as the column turns and the chassis flexes.
Play in the steering usually starts here — grab the column and rock it, and if you feel a knock, the uniball is the first suspect. Replacing a worn joint restores precise steering feel for very little money, and it's a five-minute job with basic tools.
