Direct steering.
Genuine Kart Republic steering column for Mini chassis. The column connects the steering wheel to the front end, and on a Cadet kart it is one of the parts most likely to bend in even a modest front-on hit.
A bent column is easy to spot — the wheel sits off-centre or the steering feels notchy through its travel. Never straighten and reuse a bent column; the metal is fatigued and the second failure comes without warning. Swap it, re-centre the wheel and check toe afterwards.
