Genuine KR axle key, 6 x 6 x 60mm, for 30mm rear axles. The key is what transmits drive from the axle to the sprocket carrier and hubs — small part, big job.
Keys wear and burr with every hub change, and a worn key lets components rock on the axle, wearing the keyway oval. Renew keys whenever they show wear and keep a couple in the spares tray; they have a habit of pinging off into the grass mid-rebuild.
