A genuine Kart Republic seat stay kit supplied with both 250mm and 280mm lengths. Seat stays brace the seat to the chassis, and on a modern kart they are a genuine tuning tool — how the seat is tied into the frame changes how the chassis loads the rear tyres.
Having both lengths in one kit means you can experiment with stay position and angle without a parts order between test days. Fit them snug rather than strained, and check the seat itself for cracks around the mounting points while you are there.
